Space has always fascinated me. I started being seriously interested in
Astronomy during the first year of my apprenticeship (1986).
I own a small Newtonian Telescope (Ø 6" f/5), with which I
enjoyed a lot of interesting nights.
Of course it would be great to explore space as seen in
StarTrek...
but since it's not possible yet, I stick with the movies until then. :-)
Of course, I like them best in my homecinema.

The world under water emits a similar fascination like space.
Up to now a still mostly unexplored, very interesting world which is
increasingly threated by mankind.
Although the lakes here in Switzerland cannot compete with tropical
seas in any way, I still like to dive in our lakes too. Here too,
there are (sometimes) interesting discoveries to be done!

My Job and my hobbies are sometimes not very different from each other...
If something interests me, and I'm unable to do it with my job, it
usually becomes a hobby. :-)
This includes experimenting with high voltage, working on cars, repairing
coffeemachines as well as writing programs, programming websites or just
surfing the Net.
I'm also interested in various non-Microsoft operating systems.
My primary Work-OS's are Linux (Debian), Mac OS X, OpenBSD (Webserver
and Firewall) and occasionally OpenVMS to play with.
